the turks show no remorse that is why greeks fell the way they do. when i went to the other side i saw turks mistreating everything greek. the flag she be destroyed. an accidental plane crash where the pilot conviniently falls out wearing a parachute would be good. i would prefer them to remove it properly

Who told you that the cementary only accomodates those? The majority of the graves there are empty just have the name of a Greek missing soldier.BTW the Turks also shoot down some of their forces by accident.

Do I have to spell everything out... it's quite obvious that the troops in Northern Cyprus would keep their Turkish flags flying since the vast majority are actually Turkish MicAtCyp... Yes it's not ideal, but one step at a time. The best result would be for them to take down their Turkish flags as they leave, but that's a way off as we all know.

On the other hand, the vast majority of troops in the south are not Greek, they are Cypriot, particularly those stationed alone the line who are exclusively (to my knowledge) Cypriot forces. As such, they should fly the RoC flag alone, not the flag of a foreign nation. We're talking incremental steps here, they remove the TRNC flag from the hills, the GCs remove the Greek flags from the outposts... you're trying to make everyone run before they can walk...

I believe a number of Turkish ships were bombed by their own aircraft who mistook them for Greek warships...

A Turkish destroyer (or frigate?) was sunk off the coast of Paphos by...Turkish planes. And this was after the Americans said to the Turks that nobody would mind if they sank one of their own ships, which they promptly did!

As another step, it would be good for the RoC armed forces to remove the Greek flags from their outposts along the line...

I agree with that too. I see no purpose for the greek flag to be waved everywhere. I dont think Greece would mind if the flag was taken off from everywhere anyway.

At last, someone with some sense...

Cyprus is not part of the state of Greece, which this Image represents...

If Greek Cypriots as part of the hellenic cultural diaspora wish to fly the flag of the Greek nation Image then fair enough...

In an ideal Cyprus, only two flags should be flown:

This Image and this Image

I agree with cannedmoose again. I mean just think about how a TC feels when a RoC flag is next to a Greek flag. I have no problem with the Greek flag but you can't tell me to join to the RoC and that Enosis is dead when the Greek flag is waving next to the RoC flag, you know?
