I saw a google phone android, is seems good, but its not available yet. PSP is also good, but that's not a phone, the new PSP Go is suppose to be coming out which looks exciting.

The iPhone is good, but it's 1000 euros, sucks, and here in the UK they all seem to be locked to networks, which suck even more.

How is the iPhone's internet in CY?

1000 Euros, that cant be right surely? not sure how it would work, maybe you could connect the same as wifi?
A good friend of ours is 70yrs and lives for his apple iphone, he has downloaded endless programs for it for free!
He sends me all sorts, great for a chap of 70, hes more clued up with modern tech than me!!!

yes its true the iphone 3gs is 1049 euros for the 32gb version and 949 euros for the 16gb version but its facgtory unlocked and not locked to any network.. You can use the wifi on the iphone and download from app store or cydia if jailbroken to..or just buy from england or america for much cheaper and use unlock tools.

Does anybody have an internet phone in Cyprus, and is it? Are they expensive to surf online and is it as easy as using a computer. I am contemplating purchasing those very small computers, but I might go for a phone instead.

the nokia n97 is also very good for surfing you have a qwerty keyboard and a little keystick thing which makes surfing much easier then the iphone.. Which im using to post now.

It has wifi so using the net is free and cyta have announced free wifi spots for cytanet customers to.. But places like the mall already have free wifi to all.

Or if u use wap then its not so expenssive.. Www.cytamobile.com i think the url is to see wap prices.. But just connect with wifi whenever possible

if you get a contract phone you cant play about with providers.
if you have pay as you go, simply get a so easy sim and there you go, connect with wifi, there you bobs your uncle!!!!

Thanks I will do. I guess it makes sense to buy a cheap phone from here. I will also look at the n97 to see how it is. I am not really a phone person, much more into the internet than a mobile phone.

i have both iphone and nokia n97 i found the nokia easier to use the internet with then the iphone because the iphone is all touch screen even the keyboard .. though im told you can also buy the iphone in england fcatory unlocked 600 pounds..

the htc diamond pro is also a good one a lot cheaper then the nokia and the iphone but im not sure how good it is with the net and you get less space on the phone drive... but it looks good

We will see, I have been very busy online recently and it is likely that I will need to bring the internet with me were-ever I go. I saw pictures on the n97, looks good, I have to look into things more carefully. The mobile industry is evolving so quickly it's hard to know what to buy, and phones are not 100 pounds any more. They seem to have shot up in price, a new phone can cost up to 600 pounds, if it's the latest model.

yes espesially for what you want it for.. The latest models have the wifi also.. But its one thing to look at it online and another in person.. Some cell phones look really good online then rubbish in person and when spending that much on a cell phone you sure make sure its the right one for u.
