You’d be such a hopeless judge I’d pity anyone entering your courtroom…
I knew there was more to this story than meets the eye because nobody goes round with his dick hanging out and starts fondling a complete stranger!
These things don’t happen in an instant but gradually, and they escalate over time and alcohol consumption. I suspect that up to a point the Brit’s advances and/or mucking around were tolerated and perhaps even mutual. At the very least she was soaking up all the attention, but at some point he went overboard and she retaliated by trying to make a spectacle of him… but she underestimated the persistence of fire on alcohol-drenched clothes.
At 26, I’m sure she knows better how to handle an undesirable 20 year old’s advances.
My verdict:
A 6 month imprisonment sentence for grievous bodily harm, to the person who lit the guy’s clothing.
And a 3 month imprisonment sentence for the Brit (once he has recovered from the burns), if he exposed himself in public.
Okay, Rumpole, your suspicions are just that, not based in fact, and neither do they justify his behavior. No matter, it will be found that he was the offender, having committed some combination of two or more of the following offenses: sexual molestation, sexual harrassment, and indecent exposure. She didn't throw the drink for shits and grins. I'd love to be a fly on the wall when his grandkids ask him how he got those scars on his chest.
That's right; stay out of my courtroom, or "cruel and unusual punishment" will take on a new meaning.
