hi, my family and myself are looking at moving in the new year and are trying to get the ball rolling now.

just wondering how much of a deposit do you need on a rental?

One months rent plus another months rent which they hold onto as the deposit.

But beware, don't hand over any money until you see the rental agreement as there are a lot of dishonest people who will try to trick you into handing over the cash and not going through with the deal.

That's correct one months rental and one months security bond, you will then also have to change the electric and water bills into your name, they will take a deposit from you too, I think around €50 but then when you sign back off you receive this back. you will need to look at the tenancy agreement and read it though before signing, check if you can give notice if not only sign for six months until you are sure you are happy in your property.

What area are you looking for?
