Turkey is not European!

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Turkey is ruled by a bunch of Generals and the Courts condemn, or not, as they are told!

What's more; it completely flouts International Laws which condemn its practices ...

So no, in no sense does it have the European Union ideals in mind.

Europe IS a man-made invention. In fact all continents are imaginary boundaries.

Europe is particularly weird because man’s attempts to zig-zag around desirable and undesirable countries, is so damn obvious!

I can't remember... I think not. Yeah, I think they're happy not to be part of it.

They've got one of the highest if not the highest, GDP p/capita rate in Europe so why would they want to have France, Germany, and the UK, telling them what to do with their money?

That is utter rubbish dear Oracle, the Generals are there to protect certain interests that make the foundations of the country and the idea it is built on.

Every country works that way, they just happen to have more people against certain aspects of its constitution than any other country.

You may call it fascist but as long as one is fighting the ignorance religion brings I would not care a single bit.

Islam is a tricky one to keep down with the lid of democracy, you see

But I think Turkey has done pretty good for herself, considering the amount of internal clashes and external pressure it has to deal with simultaneously.

I mean just look at Cyprus, it caved in and got divided like a piece of cake at the first sight of an internal conflict, but you would never dare to look at it from that perspective would you now

"Every country works that way" Cynicism again at its turkish best. No, not everyone does it that way, in democracies the leadership of the armed forces is appointed and FIRED by civilians. Check up on it and see how it is done.

"Islam is a tricky one to keep down with the lid of democracy, you see" which sort of disqualifies Turkey from EU and from the qualities of being European.
