That is utter rubbish dear Oracle, the Generals are there to protect certain interests that make the foundations of the country and the idea it is built on.
Every country works that way, they just happen to have more people against certain aspects of its constitution than any other country.

But I think Turkey has done pretty good for herself, considering the amount of internal clashes and external pressure it has to deal with simultaneously.
I mean just look at Cyprus, it caved in and got divided like a piece of cake at the first sight of an internal conflict, but you would never dare to look at it from that perspective would you now
