You have to understand the different culture here. It was explained to me by an old man in one of the villages.
He said basically that most Cypriot men are mummy's boys, they get everything done for then when they are young boys and that's how it is and that continues into adult life.
When they get married, it doesn't matter if the wife looks like the rear end of a donkey as long as she can keep house, cook, wash and clean etc, look out to the children.
The wife is the substitute Mother, gets bought everything she needs and if and usually when, extra marital sex is needed by the Husband there is always some girl in the next village who will put out for free.
So don't hang about waiting for things to change 'cos this ain't England and I for one hope it never will be.
From what I hear everybody is shagging everybody else in England now as well so what happened to safe sex and the fear of catching AIDS and taking that back to the Wife as an early Christmas Present?
believe me you`re not the only one who doesnt want cypriot to act like brits!! and mate did you hear about candoms!!!when i was in high school we had the school nurse teaching us how condoms are the way forward to safe sex!!! and the part where every body is shaggin everybody is true from how i see things also, see its nice for a girl to be one man`s woman but is it fair to be for one man but your man is for you and others with you!! and i believe that where ever you are right is right and wrong is wrong! and YES cyp boys are so mommy`s boys!! i saw it by my own eyes! and it really shocked me! i still refuses the idea of a woman being treated as less than the man! its wrong!! being a family woman doesnt mean being a bloody slave for you man needs!! needy men are not wanted now a days!! and i will try as hard as i can to change my friends, they gotta see the world as how the rest of the world do
