Car radio advice please?

Postby skyvet » Thu Aug 06, 2009 4:56 pm

A friend of mine has a Rover car, with a built-in Rover radio which has a keycode anti-theft feature.
His battery was recently disconnected, and now his radio won't function as he doesn't know the keycode combination, having bought the car second hand.
As Rover no longer exist, are there any boffins among us that could advise on how he might resolve this situation please?

[serious]Have you checked that the code isn't on a sticker on the back of the radio?[/serious]

Try here....

http://www.radio-code.co.uk/?c=1&kw=unl ... lAodT2DhyQ

In the old days, there was alot of talk about putting the stereo in the freezer which reset the code to 0000. Never did try that one, but may be worth a shot if nothing else works.
