The Orams have reportedly been left without a lawyer

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby Nikitas » Thu Aug 06, 2009 10:35 am

The south has appointed a Trustee for TC properties. Some were used, and covered by compulsory purchase orders as in the case of Larnaca airport. Some were the object of deals which involved the TC owners themselves and can be called shady. The vast majority of TC land is not developed or beyond the claims of the original owners.

Now contrast that with the article in the CONSTITUTION of the TRNC which "nationalises" GC land. Talk about institutionalised theft!!!!!

I have nothing to worry about, even if the GC's take EVERYTHING back and paint the entire island into blue and white, I will not loose a penny nor an inch of land.

Would I be upset to see the place I call "home" totally destroyed and morphed into something totally new for me purely for the sake of revenge, of course I would.

Like this, for example?

This is more on the lines of what I had in mind

But why would I be upset about a flag that actually represents me?

Etched in the mountain? Defacing the landscape? There for all in the south to see? Justice or revenge? You disappoint me shah. Your response was hopeless.

I have no reason nor an obligation to "impress" you Cypriot.

Who cares about the physical properties of the flag, aesthetically speaking, I think it is ugly as hell, but that is besides the point.

I was born and raised in the TRNC and you expect me to be disturbed by my flag and not mind the Greek flags that can easily be found all over the place down South?

What kind of logic is this?

Clearly you're going out of your way to do the exact opposite. Who are you trying to impress?

You were talking of revenge rather than justice, and you were complaining about your home being destroyed and morphed. And I showed you a picture of the defaced mountainside in the north. A clear demonstration to the whole world of an act of revenge rather than justice; a clear case of morphing your home in the pursuit of revenge rather than justice. That was the point. Address it.

So you're not disturbed by that vengeful monstrosity etched in the mountain? A straight answer would suffice.

I am not talking about foreign flags north or south. I am talking about morphing your home in the pursuit of revenge; which you appear to object to. Why don't you address this rather than divert attention?

Simply replying to threads and opinions does not mean I am pursuing to "impress" anyone, you are the one who complained about being "disappointed" as if I had a responsibility to fulfill otherwise.

You seem to be totally oblivious to the fact that we are from the TRNC and not from the RoC, if that is the stance you would like to insist on then of course there is no point of me addressing anything.

I have no wish to be part of anything that happily embraces Greek flags and complains about my flags.

When I said my "home" in quotes, I do not mean my house but the country I live in, the changes it will undergo.

As far as I am concerned, nothing has changed for me so far as this is how it was when I was born, and this is what I am used to and have been brought up under.

What do you want me to oppose to exactly, make it clear.

Because you showing me the flag of the TRNC does not mean much to me, I see it everyday.

I was always a TC GR, what is new?

You can't separate the "T" from the "C" as that would mean something completely different, would it not?
