Of course..obviously you do not know Turkey, I understand that you fear her due to our dark past, but thats what it is our past you have learnn to share equally with us under a BBF with political equality.

so whats in our past that stops you from agreeing to one person one vote?

Share our history with who? TCs? The history is rightfully yours, if your TC. if youre just one of turkeys settelers sent from the mainland then its not. i can understand why you would side with turkey on this whole situation but you have to understand it from a GC point of view. We dont even have the support of Greece that the TRNC does of Turkey. so its pretty much the GCs vs TCs and Turkey.

Sharing with a foreign military, with its own interests, which may diverge from the interests of the island's people, isn't. A mistake was made once, by gifting territory to the British military. Cypriots need guarantees and safeguards that they are not being forced to fall into the same trap again.

I agree safeguards and guarantees are an intergral part of a solution, yo to need them if you want to get rid of the TA and settlers but we also need them with regards to security and political balance.

Indeed. Removing the influence of Turkey's army is, ultimately, in the interests of all Cypriots. As is ensuring security and equality of opportunity for all citizens, politically and in all aspects of life.

How?

Nobody is going to jail over these writs. That is the wonderful thing about this, and what makes the judgements enforceable in any EU country, they are civil proceedings, not criminal. So the plaintiff asks for compensation from the defendant and that is what he gets.

These writs cannot be stopped by any means other than an agreement endorsed by the communities of Cyprus. Till then the property rights of individuals stand. Get this firmly fixed in your heads. Property enjoyment is a human right enshrined in the European Convention of Human Rights.
