Enosis with Turkey

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Enosis with Turkey

Postby Nikitas » Wed Aug 05, 2009 11:49 am

Sener Levent in his article in Politis today quotes Rauf Denktash as openly calling for union (Enosis) of northern Cyprus with Turkey. According to the article, Denktash likens the occupied parts of Cyprus with Hong Kong and says that uniting with Turkey will strengthen the status of northern Cyprus.

Levent does not cite the source for these statement, when and where they were made. Does anyone in the forum know?

I saw also this article.Maybe some-neo cypriots wish to support this solution as brothers and sisters of T/cs.It would be the best protection of Cyprus basis they feel like Indians and do not care about their Ethnicity.
Who knows, basis they moved from their Ethnicity to be something calling Cyprus Ethnicity, what would be their problem to be a union with Turkey or Mongolia? It would sounds same to them.

Anyone who makes such a suggestion better be aware what they ask for, because they may just get it, and in the end, they will not like it. Hong Kong was in the hands of the British for about 150 years I believe, and after the Brits make Hong Kong of what it is today from nothing, they ended up giving it all back to it's motherland, which is China of course, just because the land always belonged to China, as the northern part of Cyprus belongs to the RoC. So if Turkey want's to spend time and money to build up the north, in the end, it may well all end up in the hands of the RoC in order for the RoC not to use her EU veto on Turkey's EU entrance when the time comes.. Next project for China to get more wealth from out of nothing, will be Taiwan. Let's hope Denktash does not also want to use Taiwan as an example too.!

Sorry but I thought you've been trying to convince the world that you're an independent nation....now you're going to convince the world that you're part of Turkey?

WHat makes you think this lame brain scheme will work as opposed to the other one?

...and his honourable legacy and demonstrated resilience in countering the evil forces from the south will only live on and strengthen in our childrens children

You are rather naive to think that no one gives a crap about what the old man thinks.

north cyprus have said this crap we wil unite with turkey for years they would of done something by now if they really wanted to.. they would of united with north cyprus from the day they invaded if they really wanted to do that..
35 yrs later and nothing/?? no it wouldent be well for turkey to do that because then they are taking on 100% responsability for north cyprus and they wouldent be able to keep it running for to long
