Circles from Talat’s office confirm that they cooperate with the Independent Diplomat group

Turkish Cypriot daily Star Kibris newspaper (04.08.09) reports that according to information acquired by its journalist Cem Kar from circles close to the self-styled presidency of the breakaway regime in the occupied areas of Cyprus, the group under the name of “Independent Diplomat” has been offering its services for around two years now to Mr Talat’s office within the framework of an agreement they have concluded.

According to the paper, the circles confirmed that the group offers its services to the breakaway regime and added that the aim in this case is different than it was in the case of Kosovo. The circles said that the group’s aim is to “mediate for the TRNC presidency at the international level”. The circles did not mention the remuneration paid to the group and contented with saying that the amount is not very high in comparison with the other companies which offer professional services in this field.

We don't destroy your Mosques. We keep in good shape all the significant ones. And you are free to come and take care of all the rest instead of abandoning them. But you don't let us take care of our churches! You want to destroy them because you don't like to see them! I don't mind to see mosques. I see the minarets in many places in free Cyprus and it doesn't bother me.
