Who were the ones who were insisting on the segregation and racist discrimination of Cypriots based on their religion and language?

This is something that the Ottomans have done for centuries, treating Greek Cypriots as second class people while favoring their own. But the Turks insisted to continue this racist discrimination with the 1960 agreements. Now it is the 21st century and the "solution" they want is again based on segregation and racist discrimination. And then they blame us for it!!

The 2,000 odd Cyprus-registered commercial ships are the greatest commercial transport force in the whole Mediterranean offering the best rates so if anything Turkish businesses will be rejoicing!

Anyway back to crop spoilage .... I remember my parents moaning about how archaic the co-operative system used to be in the 60's and how much spoilage they had to endure. In fact I remember mounds of watermelons and anana melons rotting; with fruit-flies hovering over them, and that intoxicating smell ... usually a mound at the end of every field.

It was a consequence of a young country that had not had enough time after the reverberations of fighting for freedom, to manage its administrative practicalities ...

How can I carve up my own country Cypriot?

I am a Cypriot born and raised by many generations of other Cypriots.

However my identity has been hijacked by racist fascists and declared to be Greek on another part of the island which I had no access for the last 35 years!

I don't even know a single word in Greek!!

What am I to do now? Join them? Fight them? Create my own identity? Or maybe join the next best identity?
