The Turkish army and settlers must leave the island. Turkey is jealous that Cyprus and Greece are in the EU. They know if they remain on our island they will never be invited to enter EU. Their economy sinks at best. They don't understand that Greece and Cyprus are European countries. But, Turkey is middle eastern. Ottoman Turks came from Turkmenistan. The last time I looked on a map Turkmenistan is located in Central Asia. They invaded Asia Minor in 1453. They tried to Turkified Asia Minor. They were some what successful. Tourist who visit Asia Minor visit the Greek sites my ancestors built. All tourists say how Constantinople, Symrna, Armenia, Ponita, Nicesia, etc were destroyed since the Turks took them over. What can we do? Now, people are saying the Turks are destroying Northern Cyprus. But as soon as they leave we will make it beautiful again. Turkey's only hope is to get out of Cyprus and make peace with the Kurds. Maybe then they will be allowed to join the EU. I doubt it because Turks are not Europeans.

Thats not a concession.Not even the TUrks envisaged post solution Cyprus with 40,000 turkish troops stationed here. So thtas not a bargaining chip its a normal turn of events.

So do you want them to go or not? if you then its a concession as we do not want them to go.

The current talks are being held within the UN parameters.

UN Resolutions have insisted on the withdrawal of the Turkish Army of Occupation, so by turning up at the talks you must be supporting the UN Parameters and the withdrawal of the Turkish Army so it isn't a concession, think of accepting the withdrawal of this army as an entry fee to the talks

Its a concession because we do not want them to go we are giving up our security and exposing ourselves to 20.000 GC military and 126.000 armed reservists, does the UN tell you to get rid of your security? That means they are being biased and should expect both sides to demilitarize then it would not be a concession.

You have turned up to talks being held within the UN Parameters on CY. One of those parameters is the withdrawal of the Turkish Army. You may not like it, but your leaders have already agreed to it by turning up for the talks. If you are unhappy with this, take it up with your leadership. Why are you trying to renegotiate this. Cos if you are, you are not to be trusted (again).

Another parameter is the establishment of a BBF, a major, major concession from the grissy side, shall we start seeing this as open to negotiation as well then??? If you want to insist on agreeing with UN parameters for a BBF then you must also accept the total withdrawal of the Turkish Army. End off.

The "parameters" are also concessions....if you still dont get it my old bean then you never will. If the GCs see BBF as a concession then we to see the TA leaving another concession...lets move on and not get caught up in technicality which is just another GC method of bogging things down, if we agree to the TA leaving will the GCs also get rid of their army and weapons?

I don't understand why Turks just don't get it. Cyprus is not part of Turkey. Cypriots have the right to do whatever they want. If they want to reunite with their motherland they have every right to do so. Just like Puerto Rico want to remain a commonwealth to the United States. You don't see Spain invading their island.

I also don't understand the Turkish Cypriots. They hate Turkey as much as we do. They are their slaves. They are afraid to tell them to get out of Cyprus. All the Turkish Cypriots I know here and abroad all say we want them (Turks) to leave our island. They sent criminals to settle in the Greek homes that were stolen. Their economy stinks. Their children are receiving inferior education. Just look at the Turks who are writing in this forum. Viewpoint doesn't even know Cypriot history and now he is an expert on Greek cruelty toward the TC. What a joke! Turkish troops are barbaric, they rape and slaughter innocent men, women and children including babies.

On an Israeli TV I saw what Turkish government is doing in Asia Minor and Northern Cyprus. They are destroying our churches that were built since the 1st Century. We Greeks on Cyprus and the mainland have not destroyed on mosque. So how can we compromise?

Turkish Cypriots have nothing to fear. If they obey Cypriot laws they will have full citizenship. Unlike what they have now under the Barbaric Turkish government. If they do not want to live with us then they could always return to their homeland of Turkmenistan.
