Look YOU dont get it Viewpoint, what makes you think that Turks even belong here? Why do you get a say in what kind of government we have?

How ignorant, firstly im not a Turk I am a Turkish Cypriot with Turkish origins and we own this island so we have a say so wise up and try to at least act intelligent tall order I know.

When did you suddenly own the island? Oh, when you illegally invaded?

438 years proves you wrong.

438 years? ...still "own" the island, it was leased to Britain, and then lost:
remember the Treaty of Lausanne, or is it as I have been saying, that too your Turkish motherland dismisses...

VP if you are a Turkish Cypriot, then you would know that as a Cypriot we had the most socialised country in the world, before the "mixed" were identified, along with the "Turk" and the "Greek".

Come on RW...We could say the same to the GCs......You lost the land.......

hey zanny, long time no here...

sorry friend you speak as a "Turk" first, I speak as a Cypriot first, even if I'm Grecophone.

Come on  It is a shame that you of all people should start using the well over used "Turk" card. Not that I find being called a Turk offensive......Just add Cypriot at the end..... 8) I saw you more as a rounder upper of ALL cypriots not the exclusionist that I see every day calling themselves "Cypriots". I suppose that would qualify you as a "Cypriot" as in the 60s....

the only reason why i CANT call you a Turkish "Cypriot" is because of incidents when 15,000 Turks from Turkey are sent to live in Cyprus. i dont know if you REALLY are Cypriot. bit of an identity crisis, don't you think?

Who did the Turks sent to Cyprus to live when they stole our homes? The Educated Turks? No the murderers, rapists, gypies etc. They sent their scum and there are plenty of them. That is why there would never be a solution on the Greek island of Cyprus. When the settlers, Turkish scum, go back to their homes. Cypriots will be able to live in peace and thrive. True TCs hate the Turks more than the Greeks do. They felt they had to leave their homes even if they were living in threat as the Greeks were when the barbarians Turks invaded our land.

What would have happened to us if we did not run as the Barbaric evil nation of Turkey invaded our Christian peaceful island? We would have been raped and murdered. Just like my great aunt who told her grandson: "Here is the house my father build me for my wedding. Here is the house I gave birth to my children. I will never leave it!" What happened to her? At the age of 90: She was raped and killed. Why? Because she was Greek Orthodox Christian!

That is what the Annan plan is for us Greeks. It is saying it is okay for the murderers to rape, and steal our land. Greek Cypriots lost a lot and all we want is one thing: All foreigners to leave our homes and Turkish troops to leave. Until that day comes there will never be peace.

CYPRUS DESERVES JUSTICE! TURKISH TROOPS AND SETTLERS LEAVE OUR ISLAND AND NEVER TO RETURN! Then peace will come to both ethnic communities. Just as the Turks of Rhodes live in peace with the Greeks there so will happen in our Greek island of Cyprus.

There will not be peace on the island when the likes of you keep saying 'this is a Greek Island'. That is asking for trouble.

But Cyprus is Greek. Even the Turkish Cypriots are Greek historically. It is known that the Greeks who converted to Islam changed their names to Muslim names. Just as Cat Stevens, Starvos Georgiou, became Iosef, when he converted from Greek Orthodox to Islam.

If you didn't know Cat Stevens is a Greek Cypriot born in England.

Cyprus is historically and ethnically Greek don't you agree!

I can't take this "which community I belong to no more". I wish to have a transfer to the GCs. How much is the going rate for a transfer. Do I need an agent?

Fred your comment doesn't make sense. I was serious. Cyprus is historically Greek. Our language is from Ancient Greek or Classical Greek. Even the Greeks on the mainland claim our Greek is "pure" Greek. The TC before 1974 could not speak Turkish. So, am I not wrong when I say: Cyprus is historically Greek. Remember, Saint Barnabas was a Greek Cypriot.
