There was mention some time ago of the idea that the Turks should also write the old Greek-Cypriot names of the villages in the north with the Turkish ones on road signs,not just as a gesture of re-conciliation,but also for historical accuracy.Many Greek-Cypriots who went over in 2003 for the first time since 1974 were confused and found it difficult to know where they were going unless they got Turkish -Cypriot maps.
I think it would be a very good idea to arrange this,once the limits of the Turkish Cypriot area have been agreed as part of a solution.
