Kafene, why do you need this wifi router given that the SpeedTouch already offers wifi + 4 wired connections?

If the problem is one of range then what you need is a repeater not a router.

OK, here's the story. When Cyta supplied the modem a few years ago, even though it has an aerial on the unit, it just doesn't work wireless. When I asked them to replace it, they said they couldn't don that unless this modem breaks down. So in a manner, the Cyta employee suggested I drop the unit and break it for them to supply a proper wireless unit. I don't want to break anything, so, I want to buy my own router and I want a good one.

You can always disconnect your internet access and once they collect their hardware submit a reconnection to get the new gear.

Thanks GR, but rather get a new decent router. Cost is no problem.
