So someone wrote a letter to the paper and you present it here. FOrget about international institutions telling you you're a pariah non-existent state....some idiot writes a letter and its Yfreds new koran.

The article is not from the letters page but an Opinion written by a journalist for the Cyprus Mail.

I know this particular journalist is not a favorite writer of some on this forum so I guess its all lies, lies and damned lies.

We have been through the shortcomings of Makarios on this forum many times.

The vital question is whether those shortcomings justify what happened afte and what is happening today.

The fact of history is that the GCs matured fast after 1974 and the TCs are still in the grip of a Turkish inspired delusion. In case none of you have noticed Makarios died in 1977. A generation ago.

He is not just some idiot; he is one of the journos for the said paper. Please disprove what he says. This evidence has only come out from the participants in the last 9 months, although it was common knowledge amongst those who did not mind facing the truth and the consequences.

Nikitas, if what you say is true? Why does the GC school system only include 2 pages in their history books re 60 to 74. Mature? I think not, swept under the carpet most definitely.
