The United Nations have not been fooled

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

The world will not lose any sleep if you are a fanatic or not Kifeas. If you can show me one single article written by Papadopoulos, and he has written numerous, where he supports what the majority of GC's accepted, that is, the only realistic solution being a bizonal, bicommunal federation, then I am willing to take back everything I have ever said about Papadopoulos.

Sir Kieran Prendrgast was quite clear in his report to the Security Council. He said that there is no ground for resumption of talks, not because of Talat and the TC side but because of Papadopoulos who gave a huge list of changes and has refused to prioritise them. Turkey has been totally deguildified thanks to the strategy of Papadopoulos and for the first time the whole international community is pointing at the GC side as the intransigent and guilty side. This has been the achievement of Papadopoulos. There is nothing about occupation in the report and Papadopoulos and his lackies have the audacity to greet the report as positive for our side.

Kifeas, you can carry on being the devil's advocate but please substantiate your position and you can make a start by giving us all evidence for his support of a solution based on a bizonal, bicommunal fedration. You can also prove me wrong about the role played by your protege in the murders of GC leftists in 1958. Again, if I was wrong, I promise to take everything back I wrote about Papadopoulos.

seems to me that paps is acting like a rabbit caught frozen in the headlights. I cant say I blame him, another annan is not good news for him. As long as he keeps representing the gc view he will probably get another term. The paradox is that this also favours Talat. So we got two leaders with little incentive to negociate.

Looks like the next move must be connected with Turkeys Eu application.

The name of the President of RoC is not Paps but Papadopoulos.

 Thats a good one

As far as the article goes, I agree with the first reply of Kifeas. At least the name of the author is placed at the top so we will not have to waste our time.

and as for Suet .................

well i dont mean her/them any offence, and im sure she/they take none.

i even refer to me as i.....................and i dont mean to offend me, and neither do i infer any disrepect.

Maybe it's not obvious to you but Papadopoulos is a long name, that's why Paps or T-Pap is often used in the forum by non-Greek speakers.

An appropriate name for Talat would be Tal or MA-Tal which I have no problem with.
