"Flights ban review plea dismissed"

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

This is pathetic. I'm sorry, TCs, you don't have leaders in the north, you have psychotics.

This appeal is designed to give the deluded in the north – which clearly includes Talat – a further glimmer of false of hope before the inevitable final disappointment and humiliation that will put the lid on this nonsense once and for all.

It isn't going to happen. It is a waste of money that could better be spent on statues of Ataturk.

Did they not read the judge's ruling?

Forget the Chicago Convention. Britain is obliged, by international law, to keep to the treaty obligations it has signed in relation to Cyprus; obligations not to underake:

“Any activity aimed at promoting, directly or indirectly, either union of Cyprus with any other State or partition of the island.”

Direct flights from Britain to the 'TRNC' would do just that.

In the words of Justice Wyn Williams, the appeal, like the initial claim:

MUST be dismissed.

Havent you realized that we will never give up, one day the tide will turn and you wil be the ones crying like you do today..how soon you forget 1974, you displayed the same smug politics back then but what happened you lost 37% of Cyprus.

This has nothing to do with the tide. This has to do with international law which Britain has no option but to adhere to. This is entirely different to the tragic events of 1974.

But, if this is some kind of threat, Viewpoint, please expand. What exactly are you threatening Cyprus with if it continues to fight for its legal rights. Come clean.

A bully says, "if you don't give me what I want I'll beat you up". Well, Cyprus will not give Turkey what it wants. What will you do?

Is that the same bully that beat the shit out of the TCs for 11 years? You still dont get it your smug we are right attitude got you into trouble before and you appear to concentrate more on alienating TCs than trying to get them to understand that a united Cyprus is far better than an unrecognized TRNC, to date you continue to prove that we are better off going it alone unrecognized. You have not developed one iota and will fall into the same pitfalls as before 1974 being one example, no one knows what the future holds but somewhere along the lone that tide will turn and again I pretty certain your will be crying wolf yet again.

No. I was referring to Turkey's bullying today; not events that transpired generations ago in a very different Cyprus in a very different world.

International law is on the side of free Cypriots. They are entitled to be smug. Pursuing and securing justice through peaceful means gives people a warm glow.

That's a shame but what can be done?

No one can predict the future but those with some forsight can make good educated guesses. And I am pretty certain that your threats are idle.

Only problem is this time the NG has firepower coming its ears and knows how to use it so I don't foresee you being around long enough to hear it...

You were well prepared in 1974 and look what happened, war is not your strong point so dont place you people in greater risk than they already are by promoting an arms race.

No. I was referring to Turkey's bullying today; not events that transpired generations ago in a very different Cyprus in a very different world.

Then why do you Gcs refer to 1571 when it suits you? the only real opportunity we had to build a united nation was 1960 for 11 years you bullied us made our lives a misery, but just when you thought you had broken us our big brother stepped in and gave you some of your own medcicne and beat the shit out of you.

International law is on the side of free Cypriots. They are entitled to be smug. Pursuing and securing justice through peaceful means gives people a warm glow.

If international law says you cannot shoot a thief in your home in order to protect yourlife or your families life, what do you do when you are about to be shot?

What will make you understand? That's a shame but what can be done?

A change in GC mindset understanding that we are equal partners who should be included in the running of the country, acceptence of TC demands that will help eleviate the mistrust and build understanding and confidence. A structure which is far superior to the TRNC and will benefit everyone.

No one can predict the future but those with some forsight can make good educated guesses. And I am pretty certain that your threats are idle.

Guesses are often wrong but you still do not appear to understand Im not threatening you Im telling you that things do not always go as you expect and things may even take a turn for the worse, you must have learnt this from past experience.

You can decide to take the law in your own hands. But, unfortunately, the law can come back to bite you. Anyway, if you think someone is about to shoot you, I'm afraid you are paranoid as well as delusional.

Me, you and every other EU citizen should be treated equally, viewpoint. No one disputes this.

In a negotiation, no one accepts 'demands' unless they are being blackmailed. People accept reasonable requests.

Let's have some requests that will be acceptable, then, that build understanding and confidence but that do not legitimise the regime in the north.

Far superior to an illegitimate state built on stolen land? How could anything compete with that?

Thats exactly what we did as the deomcracy and human rights laws were not working and 11 years of degradation and discrimination was enough to take the law into our own hands and bear the consequencies as all else had failed. The price we are willing to pay for survival but this doe snot mean we will stop and not fight for what we believe is right.

Me, you and every other EU citizen should be treated equally, viewpoint. No one disputes this.

Should be the important word, if I let a revenge seeking surgeon lose with a knife to operate on me, how can I expect to come out of the operation alive. We do not trust the GCs to treat us as equals thats why they have to be forced to do so by placing safeguards and guarantees in place.

So we should not accept your demand to dump our security? or uproot people people who were born here on the island and lived here all their lives??

BBF with political equality of the 2 states, No Armies,

Thats your rating below the TRNC, your offers are far worse than what we have today, just think about it for a few minutes before giving one of your standard responses as no one will chnage their lives if nothing better is on offer its human nature.

Your security was meant to restore the island's independence and territorial integrity. It didn't. It is not fit for purpose. As for the settlers, their presence in Cyprus is a war crime and they wouldn't be an issue had your security been just that, rather than hanging around for 35 years. Some will have to go back, some will want or be encourage to migrate to other parts of the EU, and some will stay.

No Turkey's army and you may be making progress.
