Maybe it is the cicadas! Mind you, they are 'seasonal'!

Reports say it was a cross between an incontinent cat and decomposing fish.

Have I heard a hum? Best I think about it; Mmmmmm, yes, now I can hear it!

In Oracle's case, it is her Quad-Processor brain at work!

In my case, it is my lips moving as I read CF postings :-(

How did Bubbles compare the din made by Cicada's to a mum? Must be the heat.

A very low frequency humming noise that many, many people around the world claim to hear with varying levels of intensity and annoyance reported.

Here's a GB BBC report of a few months ago...

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/8056284.stm

and the wiki...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Hum

I ask cos I have been hearing it for years. Thought it was just me and that perhaps there was something ageing in my hearing or some kind of tinnitis until I came across an article about it a while back.

Anyone else hear a low intensity, low frequency, throbbing, background hum?
its actually a build up of static in the body, you know when we go to bed and we are just about to sleep? and all of a sudden out of the blue we jump or twitch? thats static leaving the body
