Would both sides accept a TCs 20% GCs 80% split?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Would both sides accept a TCs 20% GCs 80% split?

What do people think obvioulsy we cannot agree a solution as the chasm is clearly to wide so we will all gradually start to realize that a clean break is the best bet and has worked for 35 years. Would everyone accept the above split?

100% of CY belongs to the tissies and 100% belongs to the grissies.

Isn't that one of the things we mean when we speak of "equal communities"?

This would probably garner support but I, in principle, would be against.

Would you want to live in what would effectively be a Turkish military base, vp?

The alternative is unthinkable, do you now understand how strongly we feel? and that without safeguards and guarantees we would rather take the status quo or the split.

Don't worry VP ... "The Cypriot" will soon Turkify the whole island for you ... nothing like a "turncoat Greek" to complete the job the junta failed.

The only chasm we have in Cyprus is that created, nurtured, and preserved by Turkey illegally by force.

Had the international community imposed sanctions on Turkey and even threatened with military action if necessary as done elsewhere, there’s not a doubt in my mind that Turkey would’ve swiftly abandoned her stupid and selfish games in Cyprus a long time ago.

Upon Turkey’s complete withdrawal, law and order would’ve been established on all four corners of Cyprus and Turkish Cypriots would’ve had no option but to swim with the democratic flow as Cypriot citizens.

Therefore, I for one can NEVER accept any divisive arrangements because it’s very clear that without Turkey’s illegal occupation the Turkish Cypriots are in no position whatsoever to make any of the absurd claims they are making today.

I do NOT accept Turkey’s blackmails under any circumstances, and I certainly do NOT appreciate the Turkish Cypriot community’s foolhardy policy of taking advantage of this illegal occupation to extract undemocratic favoritism!

If anything, this injustice strengthens my resilience against the blackmailing culprits and will happily take up arms against them at a moment's notice because to me it’s a matter of principle.

I've never been a Greek. So how can I be a turncoat?

So you want the TA to leave so you can do whatever you wish as you did in 1963?

The international community is not punishing Turkey must tell you that you have done wrong as well, therefore you have to accept your part of the non solution which needs compromise to unblock the impass.

You have a long way to go before you can even start to comprehend that you will never get 100% of what you demand and that your current mindset will guarantee at worse the continuation of the current status quo.
