There are many people here for whom English is not there first language, or even, indeed, their second. CF encompasses a broad church, of people of various backgrounds and levels of education.

Little is gained by people by pointing out gramatical or spelling errors.

No doubt, if I sat and thought about it, I parse correctly and point out split infinitives, incorrect grammar etc even for English people writing on the Forum - but we are here for the exchange of ideas - however they are expressed.

Lana

You spelt 'grammatical' incorrectly...

Well put Svetlana,

I have read countless postings on this site, looking for useful comments and advice that has already been given by those' (thats for you Old john) in the know, and yes there are many many written errors. never once did I even consider putting my "English Teachers" hat on and try to point out the mistakes, why on earth would I? After all if you can read this....
"Cpuyrs is a lvoley palce, and I wulod lvoe to sepnd ltos mroe tmie tehre, and hpoeflluy one day I wlil"...... which of course you can understand then why would you waste time correcting peoples little errors! For anyone out there with dyslexia, don't worry, do your postings, some of the best brains in the world siffer this...... no doubt though Old John will try and help you out!!
