Downplay? En o nus su je xigolisen.
Axinostrafon is a wonderful ancient Cypriot word and I certainly wouldn't want to downplay it by using αναποδο.

There are many such ancient Cypriot words.... 'aparon' for αλογο for example.... 'ornitha' for κοτοπουλο.

But Copernicus had the last laugh...

Copernicus admitted that he discovered nothing... It was the Greek astronomers, namely Aristarchus http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aristarchus_of_Samos , that discovered everything. The modern European mathematicians & scientists just verified them.

Anyway that's irrelevant to your "academy" rubbish...

This is nice....

Indigenous Cyprus
Cypriot Claim to Traditional Land, Language, Culture and Identity

Native Cypriots have endured millennia of multiple invaders, yet retain their cultural integrity and claim to land, despite losing half their island to Turkish invaders

Reh bellocypriot,

I recommend this book: http://www.iolcos.gr/component/page,sho ... /vmcchk,1/

After reading it, you will realise that there is no need for amateuristic websites like yours!

Interesting... but as you say, irrelevant to the point I was trying to make.

Why is it rubbish...?

It's easy to say things are rubbish.

I could say what you just said was rubbish. I could say you're rubbish.

But I'll wait to hear what you have to say first before I condemn you.
