How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

No, it's the election rights of citizens over other EU members.

You honestly believe anything I've said on this Forum "jeopardises your Cypriot brothers"?

No, you are too forum-centred. We were discussing future language scenarios.

O. You've lost me.

I'm talking about Official languages. The Official language of Cyprus will be Greek. Sure, most people will do business in English but not because of the 50,000 TCs who will be available for re-unification, but because the Brits who outnumber the TCs speak English.

It's perfectly acceptable to have ONE Official language (Greek) which does not affect the use of any other daily chosen dialects, Sri Lankan, Polish, English etc ....

You know, for a "liberal" you use a lot of threats aimed at silencing people ... are you sure you are 'comfortable' in a free-speaking forum?

Some of the things you say are unacceptable, Oracle. Accusing me (and Bill) of being "Turks" of "Turkifying the island" over and over again, because we take a different view to you... I'm sorry. It's unacceptable. Stop it, please.

I will .... if you stop eroding Cyprus' Greek heritage!

The Cypriot, just the thought of that qualifies you as a Turk.

What are you talking about?

That you sound too serious when you use a scenario that the Turks rely on.

Mate, I'm a little sensitive about being accused of being a "Turk" or of "Turkifying Cyprus". I've had some rather unpleasant personal experiences recently...

I am a proud Cypriot. I do not want to erode any aspect of Cyprus's unique heritage. You've got me all wrong. And that's the problem.

Yes ... but for weeks now, you've been accusing me of being a "Turk" with partitionist views just because I do not deny the important part a Greek heritage plays in the island's culture. I've only just started giving you a taste of your [b]own medicine.

So, why did you go down that road?

Didn't mean to come out harsh like that. My apoligies, didn't mean no to insult you.

Correct me if I'm wrong – and if I've done so I apologise – but I don't believe I've ever accused you or anyone of being a "Turk". Playing into Turkey's partionist hands, yes.

Oracle wrote:just because I do not deny the important part a Greek heritage plays in the island's culture.

That's not the problem. The problem is you never talk about anything else. And that isn't healthy. It's exclusive and doesn't help Cypriots to find common ground.

As I say, I don't believe I have.

No need to apologise... I'm not insulted. I just wanted you to appreciate why I flew off the handle a little with Oracle.

Everything you say is garbage, just like a little hateful Nazi commie that you are!

Do you know what the communists in the Soviet Union did to demonstrators who attacked the leadership? What they did to the Orthodox church whose crosses and eagles you love to fly? I wish Christofias really was a Commie. Because you'd be in a gulag in Siberia.
