Haven't been to Brighton for years , yesterday I thought I will take the old girl for a bit of fresh air and a plate of fish & chips. The weather was fine , got there at about 11 am and went on to the peer sat for coffee and enjoyed the sunshine . A lot is going on at Brighton I didn't realize , we even had a Charlie Chaplin look alike to entertain us !! Had fish and chips for lunch and headed back home at about 3 pm , it was just starting to rain.
True that I also prefer the real summers of Cyprus but English summers can be very enjoyable too.

For years and years I had been enjoying (if you call baking in the Cyprus sunshine enjoyment). My colleagues are always laughing at me travelling all the way to Cyprus for the sunshine. They always carp on about the heatwaves they have in SE England. So, what do I do? No Cyprus this year. Why miss a lovely UK heatwave/sunshine, whatever you want to call it.

I'm singing in the raqin, I'm singing in the rain!!! NOT.

Aaargh. Cyprus I love you, please forgive me for depriving you of my presence this year. I promise to light a candle for you at Apostolos Andreas (at least my wife will  ).

Cornwall is even worse. What have I let myself in for?

We have has one week of hot weather (well hot for here anyway), the rest of this summer at the moment has been a complete washout (pardon the pun). Moving over next year and I can't wait. :( :)

Next year you will be praying for rain!!!!
