You may change your mind if you do decide to live out here permanently Z4. During the summer you hope for cooler temperatures with no humidity and you may even pray for rain!
As every passing summer seems to be suffering the effects of global warming I fear we hope in vain! :(

As for rain, spare a thought for the good people of Bergen in Scandanavia, which I gather is one of the wettest towns in Western Europe. They thrive in the rain, dress for the rain, they have rain festivals, the rain has become a part of their culture.

CY? 40 degrees? Outrageous! Gawd, I am so not looking forward to walking in to that hot oven. :( .... and the night-time temps! Oh well, no sleep in August for me.

Air-con? Too environmentally conscious for that .... until we see a lot more renewable energy generation in CY.

22 degree's in the middle of summer  It's was around 15 degree's today in the middle of winter.

Reh Umit. Did you know that generally, as an averaged out thing, Southern Hemisphere Summers are warmer than Northern Hemisphere Summers? Cos the Earth is at perihelion, nearest the Sun, when it's Summer-time in Oz and at aphelion, furthest away, during Summer here in the North. At the moment it's about at its furthest point in its orbit.

Just taking a dig at you dude

Beautiful English weather.................. My arse.

Your right about the sun being out for 5 minutes it was this morning now its cloud and very dark looking too. I expect rain very shortly. For a change of course. Give me the heat and humidity anyday. I certainly wouldn't be complaining thats for sure. Roll on next year

Just got back from a doggy walk with Boris. I felt a drop on my forehead. I dashed back home cutting my long walk short along the beautiful Thames estuary. The dark clouds are still there but still no rain.

I'd love to live in a place where you wake up in the morning, look out of the window and say, ' Aah, today it will be sunshine', 'with rain tomorrow'. I should be so lucky.

Stop Digging and become a Leveller mate.

Also cos the Earth's axis is tilted, you get The Sun full on during your Summers.

We should be thankful for the erratic polar axis.
