Z4 - Tell the missus to pack her bags and go believe me she won't regret it. I regret moving back but due to circumstances in England had no choice. She will love it.

Been a lovely morning in London, England today. 22 degrees. My sort of temperature. A natural, comfortable temperature. About 50% cloud cover. Not sure whether the figs on our fig tree will ripen any time soon though.

As for rain, spare a thought for the good people of Bergen in Scandanavia, which I gather is one of the wettest towns in Western Europe. They thrive in the rain, dress for the rain, they have rain festivals, the rain has become a part of their culture.

CY? 40 degrees? Outrageous! Gawd, I am so not looking forward to walking in to that hot oven. :( .... and the night-time temps! Oh well, no sleep in August for me.

Air-con? Too environmentally conscious for that .... until we see a lot more renewable energy generation in CY.

Reh Umit. Did you know that generally, as an averaged out thing, Southern Hemisphere Summers are warmer than Northern Hemisphere Summers? Cos the Earth is at perihelion, nearest the Sun, when it's Summer-time in Oz and at aphelion, furthest away, during Summer here in the North. At the moment it's about at its furthest point in its orbit.
