Still what do you care if a few tourists get beaten up, they no doubt deserved it I suppose for being here, being loud, having a good time, dressing silly, can see that would get a few tourists needing a lesson in decorum by some.

I care for no-one at all who provocates violence. So I suppose large numbers carrying knives and weapons means something different to you

In most countries just being in possession of a knife can get you 5 years never mind using it, myself I think thats far too lenient

I read the story a few days ago. It sounds to me as though the bloke and his sons were pissed up and got into an argument. Nothing unusual.

How on earth did you arrive at that conclusion?
Not all Brits are 'lager louts'!

This bloke and his 5 adultish sons in a PUB? They were sitting there minding there own business and 30 people decided to attack them? They waited 1 month before calling the newspapers? Yeah, right!!!!!

taking into account bbc would of looked into the hospital report to make sure this wasnt made up im sure

You are jumping to conclusions again CBBB. Yes, I agree Britain does have more than her fair share of lager louts, more's the pity; but you cannot tar EVERY Brit with the same brush. Many Brits actually are tea-total (and not just ex-drinkers) and millions of others are responsible drinkers.

You go to Murphy's (or wherever) every Saturday and enjoy a pint or two and no doubt you have attended several stag nights over the years. I enjoy a drink (or two!) but I hope that I could do so in peace and not under the threat of attack. Even if this group were 'under the influence' they did not deserve to be so viciously attacked.

I have read it cbbb, and yes they were prob very lippy without a doubt, but the people in the wrong in the end were the ones who caused these injuries and could of wiped out a father and his sons.
I was driving in paphos one day last year and watched a cypriot on a moped drive up to a polish cyclist, drag him off his cycle and kick the shit out of him. i dont care what people do or say violence is as low as it gets and is not acceptable

yesonce in london this black guy spoke some weird language to me and because id ident understand he tried to push me intot he middle of the road with on going traffic :S i dunno what i did wrong

I agree entirely. I didn't say what was done to them was acceptable, I was merely pointing out that the "we didn't do anything" attitude was probably a load of testicular material!
