If partition is a key aim for all hard headed nationalists of greek and turkish speaking peoples only, then why have we turkish cypriots jumped to the chance of signing up for our original republic of cyprus passports? I know my reasons, but what about the others? whether it takes 1 year, 10 years or 50 years, cyprus will be united one day, that is a fact that any eu citizen from the uk, germany or france knows. My discussion in this opening threat is this, do you all not agree that cyprus will one day be free of all threats of colonisation - and that also includes the two british bases, threats from majority rule and aggression, and threats from the bloody history that may have stained our minds. It's about time that all citizens of Cyprus lived under one free society.....the citizenship of the republic of cyprus....just to be a Kibrisli? I am a Kibrisli first....I can speak, read and write english as well as turkish, how about you all?

Selam Kıbrıslı Türk dostum,

As much as I agree and hope for your ideal view for the future of our country, I can't help but see it on the same lines as communism, great idea but definitely too early to jump right in it because it has to exist in the minds of all the people first or it won't work.

For the moment, my motto here is "forgive but don't forget".

I think we have a LONG way to go for such Cyprus, specially when you still have the kinds of Oracle still lurking around.

Do please remember that the concerns and apprehensions that you may have are also shared by many G/Cs who , just like you do, consider the other side ie the T/Cs to have been totally responsible for the violence. There are , and I'm sure you agree , two sides to the coin .
May I also say that when I first came on the forum there were very few who felt as Kibrisly Turk , The Cypriot , Bananiot etc.
On this forum alone you can count more than 20 members who feel almost the same way and consider Cyprus to be their supreme motherland. What will unite us is our commitment to our island , our flag and our people. Constant reminders of past atrocities are destructive to say the least . May I also recommend Sevgul Uludags book " Oysters with the missing pearls" in it you will find many atrocities committed by both sides or rather the extremists from both sides .

The interesting thing was the free run of the town that they enjoyed and universal charity with which they were treated- they would be fed by whichever house they stopped at to ask for food or water. They were given clothes to wear and always treated kindly. This was a custom, to treat the "crazies" in a special way.

Does the same custom apply in TC society? I am curious not provoking a tussle.

Yep. We had a cripple and crazy person named Kazumis who used crawl along on the floor and would get the same treatment. Food from where ever he asked for and clothes too. In fact he would ask what was being cooked and move on if he didn't like the menu. He also was very fashion conscience and would turn away clothes he didn’t like as well.

Things have changed quite a bit though, these days people put videos of em on youtube. There was a negro TC woman in my mums village of Piskobu ( Episkopi) called "Ayse", apparently she would dress up and wander around all day, she didn't leave the village in 74". She still follows the same routine everyday.

The first video is of a guy in Kyrenia who thinks his driving a car. I can't remember his name but I think it's "Ali".

Just correcting your mistakes you youngens!
What’s wrong with either of them? they look perfectly normal to me. Ask Kickapoo, see if he thinks they belong to his asylum? I think they’ll be at home sitting next to him.
