Does the UN say that Cyprus is a "special case"???

Is it by any accident that Britain rushed to accomodate London/Zurich in the nick of time???

Now wake up!

It wasn't up to the UN whether Cyprus gained its independence from GB in the 50's, you insane turncoat.

You're right: it was up to the UK to decide whether to grant Cyprus its independence or to have the island split up between Greece and Turkey. The former was chosen after the UK gave Makarios the choice between the two options.

Turkey was NOT on the cards which is why it started its Taksim drive. The Brits understood their deal with Turkey was done and dusted .... Cyprus was NOT Turkey's as far as the Brits were concerned!

Are you on expired drugs? Didn't know I was adressing "the world" through this forum

Cyprus was ALREADY British wittyboy

verywitty wrote:Turkey found an opportunity and invaded Cyprus. Greece also had many excuses to attack back but instead they didnt do anything. I dont care how nice your prime minister talks about our relations and how much water you give us in the summer, actions speak louder than words and in that department Turkey showed you that they have bigger balls than you.
Its true when you say we could never be independent, only because of idiots that keep thinking enosis is a good idea

I don't give a shit about your opinion of Greece, it was you who were hell-bent on enosis and it was you who fucked the island up. Did you take the time to weep after reading the GDP tables wittyboy?

I spent four years opening up 10 fireplaces and restoring them to be fully functional. We pick up firewood on dog-walks and make paper bricks with used newspapers ... so we're very green. It also helps that I'm too lazy to ever light any and instead go around with arctic-wear on all day (two fleeces today). Practicing for my Troodos retreat ... :D

Ballet class shortly ... brrrr!
