Leaving the UK, a decision I made in 1975, and do not regret it one bit. I might regret other choices in life, but not that one.

Since Miltiades is partaking in the fray in this thread it is a chance to ask him a question.

Miltiades do you remember any of the regulars at Alassia? By regulars I mean people who came there in the winter, not just summer visitors.

My wife of 46 years is English , my two children are half English and half Cypriot , my grandchildren ...25% English .I'm from Stroumbi the Great , a Cypriot all the way , have discovered as I grew older that the vast majority of people of the world share similar values only expressed in a different language , being English , French , Cypriot or Greek does not necessarily make one distinct from others , unless of course he or she were born in Stroumbi the Great , so there you have it young lady !
ps. CBBB is a great guy , English , Cypriot , ..Armenian or otherwise the guy is a diamond just as Kafenes is a 24 carat gold !
