Christian churches and graveyards in occupied North

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Christian churches and graveyards in occupied North

Postby BOF » Wed Jul 22, 2009 3:48 pm

Not being Cypriot and having no axe to grind against either side of the green line i have visited areas of the occupied north to look for myself at the countryside and villages that were once mixed communities.
I want to know why such disgraceful behaviour on the part of the occupiers took place??
I refer to the destruction and desecration of Christian churches and even worse in my mind, the destruction and vandalism of Christian Graveyards.
What were you afraid of? the dead can harm no one. They represent no threat yet you have destroyed graves and vandalised them - for what?
Used them as goat pens....these are the actions of Barbarians.
You want tourism, but mainly from christian countries i suspect, and this is how you treat the dead?

I also note that in the South the Mosques there i have visited are in good order and some have even been renovated.
Is this the way your God tells you to respect others? Eternal Shame on you.

Not wanting to deviate away from your thread but mention of desecration of graveyards accross Europe should be given more publicity.
Still we see Jewish graveyards (even in London) desecrated on a weekly basis with little or nothing done or mentioned.

BOF ... it's really heartwarming that you have taken the time to write such a revealing post. Sticking your neck out in this way reminds me of the "Best of British!" 8)

(P.S. ... and I'll treat you to some home-made scrumpy next time you're in the West country :D)

Because Turkey used the pretext of the treacherous coup against the president of Cyprus orchestrated by the facist junta then ruling Greece to invade a third of the island and rid it entirely of its Christian, European people and heritage.

It is a crime against humanity perpetrated by psychotic animals. And anyone who supports this continued violation is an accomplice to the crime and worthy of the world's contempt.

The people from Christian countries who have bought cheap stolen property and go on cheap holidays to that den of thieves that is northern occupied Cyprus relinquish the tenets of the Christian faith at the airport. They are the scum of the earth and the north deserves them.

Shame? Anyone who perpetrates and endorses the crimes that continue to be perpetrated in the north has no shame.

Yes halil ... Kafenes showed you up for the lying propagandist you are with your "pictures".

No one buys your lies any more ... even BOF who is English is starting to have his eyes opened when he sees for himself what you Turks have done to our country!

If it's true, then i condemn it... Hear that? I CONDEMN IT. If it's just you doing your job for bayrak then I condemn you.

Do YOU condemn the destruction of Cypriot heritage in the north. One word answer:

YES or NO?

Only one side suffered in the stupid game of Cyprus (not my game); the Cypriots. The 'Greeks' and 'Turks' caused the problems and both had it coming, geddit?

So what side are you on, halil?

halil wrote:CYPRIOT ...............CYPRIOTS are they only Greeks ? .

Where did I say that? Where have I once mentioned GREEKS? Cypriots are from Cyprus. Greeks are from Greece. And Turks should f- off back to Turkey. Geddit? That's the stupid game we played before and lost... and you're still playing it.

halil wrote:Cypriot heritage ..... are they only Christians ?

No. Where did I say that? You only read what you want to read. And only write what the Turks tell you to.

halil wrote:shall we start to our little game again ....... ?????????????

What game? You started it already by labelling me Greek. I'm Cypriot, geddit? CYPRIOT. And if you were too we could start getting out of this unholy mess together.

Good replies Cypriot ... but for future reference ... halil is one of those "TCs" which I consider as much a waste of time trying to "convert" to Cypriotness as any occupying Turk/Settler!
