I want to know why such disgraceful behaviour on the part of the occupiers took place??
I refer to the destruction and desecration of Christian churches and even worse in my mind, the destruction and vandalism of Christian Graveyards.
What were you afraid of? the dead can harm no one. They represent no threat yet you have destroyed graves and vandalised them - for what?
Used them as goat pens....these are the actions of Barbarians.
You want tourism, but mainly from christian countries i suspect, and this is how you treat the dead?

I also note that in the South the Mosques there i have visited are in good order and some have even been renovated.
Is this the way your God tells you to respect others? Eternal Shame on you.

I think that Turkey wishes to perpetuate the myth that Cyprus has always been divided into a Turkish north and a Greek south, and in order to perpetuate this myth requires to remove all evidence that contradicts this. I think Turkey is succeeding in creating this impression. Speak to many foreigners who have a casual acquaintance with Cyprus and you will find that they believe that the island has always been divided along ethnic lines as it is now, and that the north has always been populated by Turks.

Still we see Jewish graveyards (even in London) desecrated on a weekly basis with little or nothing done or mentioned.

Moslem graves are also desecrated in the UK on a weekly basis. Yobo's are everywhere. No peace even in death. RIP.

We should all condemn all desecrations of ALL religious sites, who-ever they belong to. Its a barbaric act and no civilised society should let these hooligans get away with it. The same with cemetaries.

As Halil said, it has happened on both sides. We must condemn these acts and punish the culprits.

Below is a grave in my village (posted by Halil) of an 18 year old relative who got killed in a traffic accident in the 50's. There were more Greek Cypriots at her funeral than Turkish Cypriots.

What happened after 1974 is unacceptable. We are human beings, lets behave like human beings. Sickening.

In this day and age, to distort reality so much would entail gross rewriting of archives and historical records. To raise a generation believing such revised artifacts one would have to start from kindergarten and follow it up meticulously and rigorously with "teaching". And yet halil tells us their history books are neutral and pay homage to accuracy.

Yep, you need to be well prepared. Include a chastity belt in your list just in case Bambo is in the background?

There is absolutely NO DOUBT that both sides have committed crimes against each others heritage.

If you claim otherwise you have either never travelled around Cyprus or a blatant propagandist with a different agenda.

If I remember correctly, your own President suggested that it was about time for the RoC text books to change and to stop portraying the past in such a bias and racist way.

You seem to be one of the biggest intellectual casualties your corrupt education system has produced.

Considering your age and the extent of your extreme views, you are obviously beyond help Oracle
