And this is a day they choose to celebrate? How perverse. But really, how very sad and pathetic.

No. Hermes.... I beseech you. You are inviting the inevitable quotes from VP's trusted little book of propaganda.... (I'll save him the trouble):

We would endure 100 times worse rather than be second class citizens in our own homeland.... blah, blah.

We thank Turkey for all she's done to save Turkish Cypriots from annihilation at the hands of you bloodthirsty Greek vipers.... blah, blah.

We are no longer victims of GC domination. We have our own state.... blah, blah.

Long live the TRNC... We will never surrender... We have peace and freedom....blah, blah...

Repeat to fade....

Gosh, that last bit was so real, it could have come straight from the Horse's Mouth.

Billy Boy, as VP would say, just because you put a saddle on a donkey doesn't make me a horse's mouth! (or something). It's not the surgery we're worried about but who's wielding the knife, you bloodthirsty, baby-eating Greek vipers , vultures... remember 1963, we are not a minority, we, we, we.... blah, blah.... we will never surrender.... you lost... get used to it.... we don't trust U or the EU.... no guarantees no deals....we, we... blah, blah

Repeat ad infinitum and ad nauseum....

Amazing.

At a time when both communities want a settlement, and on an emotional day for all who are Cypriots, what is the actual point of this thread, if not to incite more hatred.

By the way, does anyone know if this Sun reporter was at my mums villlage of Sandallar some time around August 74. I'd really like to see his account of what went on. Do you think he would use these words ?

BARBARIANS.......

If you want to see stupid, look in the mirror.

So for you, these are ok as they were a village of women, kids and grandads. And it was August rather than July.

Oh, and they were TC's of course. So lets not worry about them as we lost so much more !

Imbecile.
