Netgear, are usually good equipment. I suspect it’s overheating and an option in its BIOS is enabled to turn itself off past a certain temperature.
To test this theory put a (house) fan directly in front of it to keep it cool and turn it on again to see if it’ll switch itself off with all that wind blowing on it.

If thats the case, all ISPs provide their own in Cyprus. Primetel, Otenet and Cablenet have VoIP going through the modems. The modem itself is configured for the VoIP. For security reasons, and rightly so, they will not give details out for logging onto the modem.
Should a customer have his own modem, something goes wrong on the line, then they won't be able to remotely check to see what is going on.
With CyTA, then they give access to a certain degree.
Otenet will bridge their modems on corperate accounts so the customer can do his own port forwarding etc.
