MY FIRTS POST ON CYPRUS44 :

40 thousand Turkish occupying troops 35 years after the invasion , more than 10 thousand dead with over 200 thousand Cypriots displaced , and yet the reference of "Peace and freedom " is used.

Is any one aware that the term Turkish Cypriot has now been banned and substituted with Turks of Cyprus.

Turkey , along with Greece are heavily responsible for the predicament of my people , the G/Cs , T/Cs Armenians and others. Turkey must decide if she is indeed serious about joining Europe and her determination to "annihilate " the indigenous to Cyprus Turkish Cypriots and continued occupation of the northern part of Cyprus is not very conducive to say the least. The entire world , along with a large number of the almost extinct T/Cs , considers the northern part of Cyprus as under the occupation of Turkey. Not my words but those of the UN , the USA , EU and all other international organizations.

We need a solution recognizing that this island is the home of all Cypriots , all equal .
