so the fact we are much more cleaver then the turks and are able to join eu with a country with 10 times less population and the jelousey of the turks them having to take our lands by force... we will win politically we will eventually drive the turks out using our brains and in politics... if we could of done something militarily im sure gcs would of done ages ago done something about it

not so paliometoxo, remember that guerrilla warfare has its advent, here.
... we see it is a force to be reckoned with in this age "post 9/11".

And in fact, our demonstration of Tolerance is as powerful a tool to choose, the question in essence is motive.

One thing on this day I would like to remember is that the coup failed because it had no support from this island's dwellers. It is not a "Greek" thing or a "Turkish" thing. To this day the People demonstrate an unwavering support for reason, and this will, through acts can overcome the barbarians on bothsides which occupy our agenda.

we can adapt, we can compel ourselves to look at Turkey as a regional powerhouse whom we may be of service as their gateway, in economic terms, not unlike others who depend on our skills as a population that is highly educated and able at the facilatation of their business transactions.

shipping, communication, finance, accounting, and engineering are the grounds where we can provide a desirable exchange which adds to the prosperity so much a key in good relations.

let's not forget that Turkey is as well a gateway to other economies, and with its desire to grow this is a help to the Occidental world of which Cypriots are a partner.

Turkish troops may never move out. but, Nato and/or the UN may offer the stability we need, ironically by staging their forces here as well.
