Turkish troops out of Cyprus. How?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

I could probably do with some treatment, but not for that.

If Greece is the country which is going to liberate Cyprus by demanding the withdrawal of Turkey's military, I'm interested in the state of its mental health services.

That's not a strategy. That's delusional, wishful thinking.

So let's hear your "strategy" ...

.... (but not the one based on your delusional wishful thinking a few TCs are going to help!)

So, here's a summary of the imaginative strategies for the removal of the troops, in so far:

1. Cypriots to stage a coup against Talat and then invade northern Cyprus; see recruiting sargeant kurupetos – who's been waiting 35 years to drum up an army – for details;

2. Don't worry, stay focused because our 'strongest ally' Greece will save the day and demand the removal of Turkey's army; so says the delusional Oracle - when? don't ask silly questions, just fly the Greek flag and have faith in the Hellenic ideal;

3. Keep Turkey's army just where it is thank you very much as viewpoint has benefitted from the loss of others and would rather live among 40,000 soldiers than have to give up his ill-gotten gains.

There is no need for a strategy. The corruption and delusions of grandeur of the adversary are working just fine so far. As for a time scale, just think of Lambousa, it took 300 years back then, it might take just as long this time round. They know it too, and they try to convince themselves that the place belongs to them by changing place names, hanging huge flags and planting ridiculous statues everywhere. No matter what they do they do not feel secure, the KNOW the clock is ticking.

The Turk will only be removed from Cyprus by force, it's as simple as that. Anybody who believes otherwise is dreaming.

So, for the benefit of the dreamers, what's your strategy for removing the Turk by force?

Strategy encompasses all methods to achieve an aim. The ctual use of force is not necessary. The mere threat of force is enough. As long as there is a National Guard Turkey will keep four divisions on Cyprus. Four divisions is a constant long term drain. Taking over the whole of the island is not an option because the four divisions will have to double to take on security duties and we are not discussing the political ramifications of having EU population under occupation etc.

The worst case scenario is that the present division will become permanent, which is a bullshit threat because the division is permanent, it has been permanent since 1974. The point is to make the continuation of the status quo costlier for them than us. It is not a sprint race, this is a marathon and will take generations to put right.
