Used iPhone 3G 16GB Factory Unlocked (400 EUR)

Postby parisp » Fri Jul 17, 2009 5:10 pm

I am selling an iPhone 3G 16GB which is Factory Unlocked (from apple) for 400 Euro

The device is in perfect condition with no scratches since i had a transparent case fitted at all times! Had it for around 6 months and the reason of sale is to upgrade to the new 3gs!

The device costs around 750-850 to buy new in Cyprus.

This iPhone is Factory Unlocked directly from apple, no need to hack the device to work in Cyprus! no need to install weird programs in order to update it.

contact me if you are interested!

Can it be updated safely via iTunes? Where are you based?

Thanks, Manolis

Yes can be updated normally from iTunes without any hacks. I am based in Paphos, where are u based? We can surely meet in person so you can check it out if you are interested, just to make sure that its in perfect condition as i say!

I travel a lot for business, by then end of this week i might schedule a few meetings in Limassol, Larnaca an possibility nicosia.

The device is updated to 3.0 from the 1st day that it was released! i use it with a normal iTunes account to download apps and it works perfectly fine. I also us 3G with CYTA and works like a charm and I basically have internet in my pocket 24/7 :)

I am in Nicosia also travel around including Pafos (probably beginning of next week....). Your price is a bit on the high side based on eBay completed listings. If you can consider to go lower..... I also have to find a buyer for my iPhone 2G (with OS 3.0).....

Let me know. Manolis

Actually this is my lowest price :) if you buy from ebay then you need to consider the tax fees you will pay here in the post plus the shipping cost the seller will charge you and also the fact that most devices will be unlocked via hacks or special Sim cards which will make it difficult to update the device.

if you find it cheaper in ebay from a seller that has more than 500 feedback, its factory unlocked, in a good condition, and with-in the EU to save the taxes then my personal advice is to go for it! ;)

I see you are well-versed with eBay.... and you are right! To be honest I am very happy with my 2G and have a friend who upgrades for me.... but I would like to DIM (do it myself...). How do you download through iTunes- UK/Greek credit card?

Are you a Mac user too? I am.

I am very very very well-versed with eBay, purchased and sold around 100 items from ebay :) Including my mac-book pro and mac mini! so i know well the extra costs involved when buying from abroad! I guess i am a heavy mac user since i tend to use my mac-book more than my normal PC!

the iphone 3g will help you realize the full potential of the device. If you setup at least a 7 euro per month 3g plan with cyta for 200Mb free transfers that is! if you eat that up then you can go for 5GB for 30 euro per month. most of the time i am under wifi so 200mb is enough to use twitter+email+web on my i phone.

now the 3gs will blow you away! simply magine the web pages + aplications to load 2 times as fast! and also image games with 4-5X the speed and graphics! oh and a nice video recording option :)

For iTunes i buy gift cards from several websites or if i cant find one, they tend to live only a few months, then i buy them from ebay. i bought $150 gift cards so far, all spent in iphone apps!

P.S. My iPhone 3g was not purchased from ebay but from expansys in the UK! if they have it on stock it should be around 750 euro.

How come you are a mac user? any relation to graphic or web design? most of the mac users i know are! :) i am!

Mac user since 1989.... nothing to do with graphics- I couldn't draw a straight line with a ruler, as they say..... Business, trading, etc. Even my accounts program is Mac! My first Mac was a Plus, my latest (#7) MacBook Pro 15 with matte screen. Don't want to have anything to do with PC's unless I really have to.

Thanks for idea on Tunes gift cards. Will look into it. 3gs sounds really cool. On the 2g, Safari is too slow, but I don't really want it for that. Don't really know if 3g or 3gs will be faster with CYTA?

You can contact me on ninenine, sixnine fourfour ninesix if you are ever in Nicosia. I will think about your 3g...... Manolis

Well am a recent mac user, 2 years now :) i own a web design company here in Paphos unitedworx.com so the mac helps a bit with programs not available on windows. Me on the other hand can not do anything without a pc/mac around me :)

certainly 2g wil be slow on safari since speeds are very slow! 2g to 3g is like modem to adsl :)

send me a pm with your contact details and i will surely contact you for a coffee when i am in Nicosia :) hopefully by then i will have a 3gs to show off :)

Will be in Pafos early next week. If 3g is so much faster even in Cyprus, it might tip the balance. I saw your website and so have an address. Will call you. Kernas kafe.... Manolis :)
