u have a mac how is it? i was thinking of getting one since i have a iphone
Well let me just say that I have been a PC nerd since I was 10, my desktop is still a quad Opteron with XP 64 and I love it.
But when the time came to buy my first laptop I was put off with all the options out there, then I discovered that Intel based OS X can run Windows perfectly fine, it's not even a hack, the software needed to install Windows (or Linux if you wish) is actually included in OSX and fully supported with updates and everything, even for x64.
It took me half an hour to install Vista and 10 minutes to remove it without effecting the OSX partition what so ever, and then installed XP, it runs just perfect.
I removed Vista because I did not like it and it caused some compatibility issues which were not related to Mac but cross compatibility between XP software and Vista.
But all that to a side, hardware wise the laptop is robust, perfectly usable and for the money I was going to spend on a crappy PC laptop, I got a bad ass Macbook Pro which gives me the best of both, battery is perfect, screen is marvelous and I am absolutely happy with it, there is no way I would ever buy a PC laptop ever.
I am a sound designer so I need to use Logic etc. which only runs on Mac, but my shitty day job required me to use Windows based online games, so now I can use both perfectly fine and OSX is just a beauty on its own, so many cool features, easy to use, NEVER needed to open the console (kind of like the CMD of PC) so far because everything JUST WORKS, its just what we have been waiting for Windows to do for SO long.
I can't live without my PC, but now I can't live without my Macbook either, I need both. This is definitely the most reliable piece of gear I have ever purchased.
I was anti-mac for ages because I never owned one, what they say is true, once you go Mac you never go back, I am totally sold
