You can excuse them all you want, but the fact is that the Ottoman rule was brutal, 10s of thousands of Cypriots were killed just in the first days of the invasion, and during the 3+ centuries of Ottoman rule the Cypriots were treated as second category people and our population instead of tripling was actually reduced!

But the problem is not the crimes that you committed against us in the past. The problem is that you never stopped committing crimes against us. You continue with them today and you are trying to find excuses to continue committing crimes against us in the future!

It is your effort to find excuses for continuing with the crimes against us which takes us back in the past. Isn't it you who went back 6 decades a moment ago trying to put the blame on us? Maybe you want me to just accept the distorted and extremely selective history you are trying to present without replying with the true facts? Because this is all I am doing: Correcting the historical lies that you are trying to pass.

Personally I have no need to discuss the past and what happened decades or centuries ago. What we have today is an illegal occupation of 1/3rd of my island by Turkey, and I don't need to discuss any former era in order to prove this. It is you who is looking into the past trying to find excuses for the illegalities that you insist on committing today.
