Why on earth should we put up with the flag of a foreign bloody nation that not only looks down on us but also created the circumstances under which Turkey invaded our island . When will we learn !

I'll tell you, sunshine, because Bill's too polite.

The top left, on a blue background is a white cross a symbol of Christianity, that Jewish-inspired religion which eclipsed the Gods of Olympus; a religion whose holy books propagated an entirely Jewish cosmology in which Jews (like, say, Heinz Alfred Wolfgang Kissinger) were God's chosen people.

The nine blue and white stripes represent the nine syllables:

"El-ef-the-ri-a i tha-na-tos"
"Liberty or death"

The battle cry of the people of Greece in their struggle for freedom from Ottoman rule. It was a freedom that was to elude the long-suffering people of Cyprus, as the island fell into British hands.

Of course, rather than bringing liberty to Cyprus, the Greek-junta inspired coup against the island's democratically elected president brought death and destruction and the recapture of over a third of the island's territory by the Neo-Ottoman Turks.

So, probably not an appropriate flag to be flying when commemorating the tragic events of 1974, if you have an ounce of intelligence.

Listen you miserable pseudo-turkophile ... the blue and white "foreign" flags are going to be the ONLY "foreign" flags you are likely to see supporting this march on Sunday so shut up and show some appreciation for the only true "foreign" ally this country will ever have supporting it!

I doubt very much the people flying those flags of Greece will actually be from Greece.

In fact, I know personally some of the fools who insist on flying those flags on the march. They are nasty pieces of work which Greece would not be proud of.

Any friends from Greece who care enough for Cyprus to show their solidarity at the march will, I imagine, also be circumspect enough not to bring their national flag to a demonstration calling for a free and reunited Cyprus for all the island's people.

I really am gob-smacked having read the above  , I never knew that there was such an abundance of Greek Flags fluttering in the UK, nor did I know that the Turks had invaded although I understand that there are thousands of 'Turkish Kebab Restaurants' on the island and can understand your concerns about the 'Immigration Departments' that created the problems.

I do not think that the Greeks look down upon the British to the extent that you mention, perhaps they are a little disdainful due to your country's war-mongering attitude and unhealthy liaison with the US and Israel, strangely enough, Greece is not the only nation that views your country with such disdain.

My advice to you is quite simple, disregard such perceived insults to your chosen country, stand firm and proud beneath the 'Union Flag' and DO join the march, you may be in a position to inform on any suspicious looking individuals who may pose a threat to your new compatriots.

I do hope the weather stays favourable, it may be quite difficult to 'Spy' and 'Keep an Eye' on proceedings in the pissing rain.

I dispice nothing more than pseudo Cypriots , for they are responsible for the presence of the Turkish occupation troops in Cyprus.
They still think that the last remaining country of fucking idiots in the world who still celebrate and promote communism will come to Cyprus's aid if required . To KAPA KAPA EPSILO , A BUNCH OF FUCKING WANKERS
, that's what this stupid nation has become , KAPA KAPA EPSILON LAND , ASSIXTIR POUSHTO KALAMARADES .
I will join the parade as I do every year as a CYPRIOT . To hell with the yellow chickens that fucked us up , not again , they can go to hell !
