""""On 15 July, as soon as the coup d'état was reported, UNFICYP was brought to a high state of readiness. Additional liaison officers were deployed at all levels, and increased observation was maintained throughout the island in all areas of likely intercommunal confrontation. Special measures were taken to ensure the security of the Turkish Cypriot community. A few cases of firing into the Turkish enclave north of Nicosia were reported; the firing was stopped through liaison with the National Guard."""

Miltiades ,
In here they are only talking about Nicosia .

as soon as landing started all around the our villages was attacked by national guards and these attacks never stopped up to 18 August . More than 20 civilians lost their lives from these attacks Miltiades ..... Civilians lost their life's not the Turkish Cypriot fighters (Mucahid's) These civilians lost their life's direct mortar fires from the NG posts . They were just firing to civilian places . I am live witness of the incidences Miltiades .

I am not going to write details of it . How Pileri village was attacked and civilians got killed .

At same time villages of Paphos ,Larnaka ,Limassol were under the attacks . By trying to hide these truths does not help at all .Because most of these people are still in life now .

with my above words i am not regretting what was happened to GC's .

I always believe 15 july of 1974 coup was the triggering point of everything.

There was me thinking that the coup was the work of some greek officers and eoka-b. How many of the NG officers were charged by our law abiding internationally recognised fair government for treason for trying to overthrow the legal government?

Let's try something else.

The officially recognised Government of Cyprus will cancel any orders for tanks if the occupation army removes enough of their tanks to match the level currently available to the National Guard.

Does that make sense?

No. First sign the long over due peace agreement. Then the troops and equipment within that agreement will go. That makes sense.
