Hey everyone.
I have an iPhone 3GS(jailbroken and unlocked) i just put the 3G service from MTN, but for some reason it keeps losing it or sometimes its not even there at all... i live in strovolos. maybe the area isnt covered good enough?? anyone else with 3g service can help out??

genika etsi mtn which the the problem.. they suck ;p get so easy

http://www.hackint0sh.org/forum/f123/ try them forums you will have better luck.. this is the home of the dev team hackers who as you know made the tool you used to jailbreak and unlock the iphone.. unless u used geos jailbreak purplerain but they will still help you at that website

how much did you get the 3gs and which network is it locked to?

i just left my house and went for drive to see if i would get 3G and yes indeed i did. didnt even lose it once! so i guess my house isnt covered by 3G

i got for 700e. it was locked to AT&T. jailbroke with purplera1n and unlocked with ultrasn0w!

ohh i want mine factory unlocked !
i mean when its locked to a carrier everytime there is a new firmware you have to wait for a new unlock tool.. redsn0w i use or quickpwn before that.. and pwnage tool for the mac.. and with the new 3gs u have to jailbreak to be able to download ultrasn0w from cydia but its not always cerrtain and when the hackers out there will hack the iphones.... i rather factory unlocked and i jailbreak because jailbreak apps make the iphone that much better

but factory unlocked in cyprus is 1049 euros for the 32GB :S

its too expensive for factory unlocked. theres no point. there will always be a workaround. mines 32gb. the phone is amazing!

yep i have the 3g...

i wont buy it any other way.. its factory unlocked or nothing for me

i hate wsiting for new hacking tools just to be able to upgrade firmware which takes ages and as we saw with the 3g they had lots of trouble hacking it...

plus in england you will be able to buy it factory unlocked for around 600GBP which in euros how much is that ? 700 750? there abouts for the 32GB

Hi, i have an iPhone 3g and i'm using cyta, i have set the APN to cytamobile with user and pass as username and password, but i can't get any internet access through 3G or GPRS. Does any of you guys know how to fix this?

btw the strange thing is that my email works for text but not for any images attached.

you need to set the settings from cyta if you join cytamobile.com you can have the settings for gprs and mms and everything sent to the phone... im not sure how it will work with the iphone exactly but you can manually enter the settings i think also
