VP , you know very well that the first appearance of the " sell by date" was a couple of months back when the now non controversial non political but 100% factual and legal EC Judgment was endorsed by Europe . That judgment poured tons of water on the sand on which the "TRNC" stood.
I used past sense since I believe that the days are numbered , the T/Cs objecting to the continued presence of the occupying troops is growing daily , the realization that there is and can only be one Cyprus is becoming a reality. It is a matter of time now , hence my usage of the phrase "sell by date".
It is also true that this applies equally to all those "nutters" who claim Cyprus for Greece , their "sell by date "is well in progress , every day that Cyprus remains in the EU as an independent nation having Greek and Turkish as official languages is a reminder that this island is not the exclusive property of one section of our communities but equally belongs to all who are Cypriots and have Cyprus as their homeland.
35 years and you still hope that rulings and decisions will solve the Cyprus division for you, joining the EU didnt do anything let alone little pieces of paper, if you havent caught on ye then let me clarify that its only way to solve this impass is to win the TCs over and show them that it better for everyone if we are united rather than divided. The current situation for TCs is 1000s times better for the TCs than it was during the 60s so if we are to agree anyting then TCs must see concrete steps being taken before taking steps themselves and believe me if GCs were clever and took positive steps towards showing exactly the benefits of a united Cyprus over the TRNC TCs would move forward leaps and bounds. But to date all GCs have been good at is to reconfirm TCs biggest fears so as to make them hold on even more strongly more determined to their safe haven the TRNC.
