British citizens lobbying on behalf of the "TRNC"

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Just who were these "British Citizens" at this so called British lobby group meeting at the restaurant. Most likely they were mostly TCs, since most of the so called British Citizens who bought GC properties are TCs and not the English.

What was the purpose of the "meeting". After all, they all got guarantees from the "trnc" for all these sales, so what more was for Ersin Tatar to offer. Errrrrrrrrrrr, nothing, but I'm sure he enjoyed his free meal all the same from the suckers who went to this pointless meeting. Ersin Tatar can get a free meal for the rest of his life from these suckers. Once a sucker, always a sucker.!

Look at the style and disgusting way this post is put together. Sarcastic and downright degrading of the TCs.

Just because you too were at the meeting, don't take it personally.!

I'm degrading all those suckers who thought they were in high heaven getting rich on GC lands. Do you think only the "English" should be blamed for all this greed and not the TCs also, who by far are the worse offenders in buying GC land. I do not discriminate anyone from committing these "Sins of Haram". For you of course, TCs should be entitled to deal in GC land, just because your so called "constitution" say so. Sorry, not in my book.!

I can't remember the date now, but some time in May or June I crossed into the north of Nicosia and walked past the Saray hotel. There was a group of about 70 people waving Turkish and TRNC flags and chanting nationalist slogans, doing their best to sound enthusiastic. Most of them looked like mainland Turks rather than TCs - the majority of the women had covered heads. I didn't give it much thought at the time.

Later in the day I learned from looking at the chauvinist Turkish Cypriot press that this was part of three-legged protest against the Orams ruling involving first a protest outside the British High Commission, then the UN offices at Ledra Palace and finally at the EU offices - which it turns out is opposite the Saray hotel. The chauvinist newspapers had all devoted front-page banner headlines to this demonstration, and were urging people to attend. In other words, the Turkish Cypriot right was aiming for a major mobilisation, and from what I saw all they got was a damp squib.

My conclusion is that this is not an issue that arouses much passion among most Turkish Cypriots, which supports a similar view that I have previously expressed on this forum. Maybe these hapless Brits better had lobby for themselves because nobody else appears likely to do so.

They couldn't care less that vast areas of Pafos have been developed and
houses bought with all the surrounding areas of shops, supermarkets, tavernas and restaurants all getting a share of the business that simply wouldn't be there without the British.

For your info, there are 500,000 Greek Cypriots currently living in the UK and hundreds of thousands more who had come and gone, most of which bought houses, setup businesses and what have you, so I guess you've got a loooooong way to go before the Cyprus Brits can catch up with that contribution.

What's your problem, cyprusgeoff? Has anyone ever misbehaved to you, just because you are British; or you would have also liked us to be kissing your ass, just because you bought property and came to live in Cyprus? Is that what you are after? Why didn't you go to Spain or France instead, where no one of any authority would have bothered to speak to you in English, and instead you would have had to learn the local language? How many Greek words have you bothered to learn in all these years you are in Cyprus? Two? Three? Five? Be honest, Jackass!!!

VP was all praises of the so called "strong British Lobby group" in the north who were going to put a stop first to the ECJ Opinion, then to the ECJ Ruling, and now we are all waiting for them to put a stop to the British High Court Ruling.

Tim, I'm sure most of the True TCs in the north are sick and tired of their lives being ruled by the settlers and the Fascist NeoPartitionist. They want to have a life like anyone else and not see their children grow in a "corrupted society", because they know there is no future for them the way things are going. They are forced in committing "Sins of Haram" by these Fascists. Given the choice, they would rather see a unified Cyprus in a True Democratic way and not have a partition which would mean that they will always be under the control of the Fascist. So I believe you when you say that there were not many TCs at the rally. Most of the TCs who bought GC land, are in the UK who are home and business owners which the ECJ ruling will effect them the most. Lets hope so.!

I never forget! But perhaps you never knew how to treat "others" around you, since most humans regard what the Turks do as barbaric and unacceptable ... Otherwise, why are you holed up, begging to be recognised by civilised nations; and now kidnapping degenerate Brits to blackmail your way out of another uncivilised form of behaviour?
