Hi all

I am going to stay in Paphos in February 2010 and wondered if anyone can tell me if th pavements are 'wheelchair friendly'. Also what are the approx temperatures for that time of year. I have checked in the internet but have learnt from past experiences that they are on the conservative side.

Thank you

Barb :)

Cyprus in general is not very 'wheelchair friendly', but if you will be at the tourist areas of Paphos you should be ok without many problems. Temperatures in February should be around 15 degrees.

Yes, as suggested within the tourist areas, the promenades, in the major resorts you'll be ok but the rest of CY is not wheelchair, pram or even pedestrian friendly.

The new promenade area on the Paphos sea-front should be perfect for wheelchair saunters. So too are places like the centre of Polis and the Latchi harbour area.

As for the temperature, you'll need some warm clothes (layers) which you can remove easily in the middle of the day when it can warm up considerably.
