MORE STATUES OF ATATURK TO PULL DOWN ONCE WE RETURN

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Where do religious morons run things? In Cyprus? In Greece? You do not know much about either place. The influence of the church is not pervasive as happens with Islam. Note that abortion is legal in both Cyprus and Greece, as is contraception, civil marriage, and other things that underline the separation of church and state.

You are very good at hiding behind generalised statements to cover for Turkey's extremist positions on matters which exist in all countries.

Punishments for breaking Laws exist in all countries; but is that an adequate excuse for Turkey's heavy-handedness?

I am just good at pointing out how bias and racist your ignorance is.

Same goes for you too Dr J.

There are no brownie points for hypocrisy :D

So, the fact that you tried to hide behind the veneer of other countries having some measure of control over freedom of speech, in order to absolve Turkey of her draconian, punitive measures against freedom, is not hypocrisy?

Not at all, I just don't see any point in attacking any of them since everyone is as bad as each other, because THAT would be hypocrisy, specially if you want to keep bragging on about how "civilized" you are meant to be when you are clearly far from it.

Well that's where you're wrong shah. Not everyone is as "bad as each other" (an inaccuracy by which you try to justify Turkey). There are degrees of "badness" and when minimal, and done merely for survival and defence - as the GCs were forced many times to defend themselves from invaders - they are acceptable. What is not acceptable is when the degree of "badness" is taken to such extremes they become violations of others' Rights ... And that describes the difference between civilised and uncivilised. From the number of violations Turkey has accredited, just in the one act of invading Cyprus, then they deserve their uncivilised status!

He doesn't, on account of being dead.

The discussion is centering on those who are currently alive and hence able to perform in a civilised or uncivilized manner.
