I have no issued with Ataturk statues in Cyprus, as much as I find them to be pretty much meaningless here, specially in such numbers.

I am a great admirer of Ataturk - in the context of modern TURKISH history - but the decision to erect this statue at this place and time in CYPRUS is a very different matter.

Two generations of TCs lived under a western, secular system in Cyprus, before Kemal had ever formulated his theories. So this Kemal fetish in Cyprus is obviously not a TC thing, it must be an imported fshion to please the settlers.
