How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

It would be in much better taste and appropriateness to have the statue of Bulent Ecevit installed instead.

the very turks who all they have done is murderd gcs killed raped 12 year old girls calling this a peace operation

But those fucking mosques! God dam it!

These religious morons multiply like cockroaches and build their shit all over the place in such numbers that most of them are practically empty because there just isn't enough religious people on this side of the island, TC's don't give a shit about Islam, why can't they see it!

These stinking bastards are the people that need to be kicked out, not the hard working immigrants.

You have got my wholehearted support in there !

Yes, yes, more statues of everyone, Kemal, Ecevit, Demirel, fill the place with those Stalinist symbols. And more flags, many more flags, on mountains, trees, cliffs, till the place is covered with them.

Then sit back and admire the spectacle of the third world stalinist paradise you have created. No wonder one half of TCs have left. They had enough of this 1920s style shit going on around them.

As you have requested. It was reported in the Turkish Cypriot daily Havadis newspaper yesterday that the unveiling ceremony of the memorial of Ataturk took place in occupied Lefkosia and the ceremony was most exquisite and many were pleased. Seeing the statue will now remind them "how happy I am to be a Turk!"

There has been massive opposition to this statue from the Turkish Cypriot left.

Thank you, Tim, for that insightful comment. Just a reminder--dont say anything negative about Ataturk in this forum as our moderate TC friends in this forum will not approve.

The attendees at these 'unveiling are most probably dignitaries and the settlers and a few brown noses, as stated before.

I am a great admirer of Ataturk - in the context of modern TURKISH history - but the decision to erect this statue at this place and time in CYPRUS is a very different matter.

Two generations of TCs lived under a western, secular system in Cyprus, before Kemal had ever formulated his theories. So this Kemal fetish in Cyprus is obviously not a TC thing, it must be an imported fshion to please the settlers.
