MORE STATUES OF ATATURK TO PULL DOWN ONCE WE RETURN

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Strange that the side that wanted union with Greece has no Greek hero worship tendencies, and the side that demonized union has gone the whole hog with mainland symbols. Strange how life turns out sometimes.......Who would think that the major proponents of Enosis on the island are now ALL TCs!!!!

TCs you say?...thing of the past Nikitas...their voices were silenced long ago...soon we will be looking at artifacts at museums...

I don't see any tcs here complaining with the situation...coz if they complained we wouldn't have a cyprus problem...

The breakaway regime has started building a monument of Ataturk in Kantrara area which could be seen even from Anatolia

Turkish Cypriot daily Afrika newspaper (16.07.09) reports that the breakaway regime has started building a monument of Ataturk in occupied Kantrara area. The monument will be so big that it could be seen even from Anatolia.

Ummmmm ... I'll give you a clue. I'm not referring to Makarios.

that's not a clue, nor does it clarify anything...I wouldn't call either Makarios or Ataturk "the greatest man in the history of Cyprus"...

Well, I have to agree with you there, unfortunately Ataturk left TC's to the mercy and will of the GC's & British. Makarios was just a paedofile and murdering scum.

It would be in much better taste and appropriateness to have the statue of Bulent Ecevit installed instead.
